This time around, we get to see one of the most relevant and interesting aspects of the game, the Abbey.
The Abbey is the castle in which you get to hang out with all of the game’s Marvel superheroes in what feels a lot like a dating sim.
You can chat with all of the game’s heroes, improve your bonds with them, fulfill requests, join clubs, and even go on dates.
Funnily, within the gameplay reveal (in the second video below) we also get to see an interesting glimpse of Blade’s sentimental life.
Of course, we also see a lot of the Hunter, who is a completely custom hero that you can design in whichever way you like (they’re the first customizable Marvel superhero, as a matter of fact). Interestingly, we also get to see how they can be further customized during the campaign. You can select the body type and voice actor (masculine or feminine) only at the beginning of the game.
Speaking of customization, the other heroes also have limited customization.
The video also provides a good look at Charlie, the Hunter’s hellhound which (of course) you can pet. We also hear that there’s a cat available in the Abbey.
At night we get to explore the mysteries of the Abbey, guided by Agatha Harkness.
The gameplay segment also showcases some combat missions, but we’ve already seen several of these. That being said, this is the first time Scarlet Witch is shown in live gameplay action.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns releases on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on Dec. 2. On the other hand, the release date for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One versions has been further delayed and will be shared at a later date.
