Snapdragon 845 (unofficial name) should be presented next month, however, contrary to what was said, can keep the manufacturing in 10nm. The war inside the mobile processors is firmer than ever. As the tech giant Apple continues to lead in performance (while benefiting from a closed and hardware-optimized operating system), while Qualcomm, Huawei, and Samsung strive to reach the top, followed by MediaTek. With the end of next year, Qualcomm is already preparing the next generation of its top-end processor, whose name has not yet been confirmed, but is expected to be the Snapdragon 845. Several rumors have been released about this new processor, pointing to a 7nm FinFET manufacturing, which would make it more efficient and better in performance. However, the new information denies what has been said, pointing out that the new SoC will remain at 10nm. However, the evolution is guaranteed, being assured an improvement in the Kryo architecture with a greater focus on virtual and increased reality.
Samsung Galaxy S9 may debut Snapdragon 845
Last year, the South Korean giant Samsung was granted exclusive rights in the launch of this chip, with the Samsung Galaxy S8 being the first device to integrate the 835 SoC. For this year it is likely that the exclusivity will continue, being the Samsung Galaxy S9 the first device to integrate this new processor. However, the introduction of this processor may pose a major problem. With regard to its top of the range, as the South Korean giant, Samsung always creates two versions, one with Exynos and another with Snapdragon inside. According to some rumors, Samsung will already have the manufacturing process FinFET LPP 8nm prepared and is expected to be used in Exynos 9810. This processor would then be chosen to accompany the Snapdragon 845 in the new Galaxy S9. There is thus the possibility of a considerable difference between both versions, with Exynos probably having better performance and better efficiency. While the Snapdragon 845 is expected to be launched next November and is expected to hit the market in 2019. So, what do you think about this?
