The company has launched its 2 New A-series smartphones, Galaxy A33 and A53, at the Samsung Galaxy A Event 2022. Samsung’s tagline for A33 and A53 is “Awesome for Everyone.” Samsung said, “Samsung Galaxy innovates to support all those awesome things you’re doing in your devices, and Galaxy A-series has always made our core technology accessible to all.”
Samsung Galaxy A-series New A33 & A53: Everything you Need to Know
Samsung Galaxy A53’s pre-order starts on March 18, and Samsung says if you pre-order A53, you will get a pair of Galaxy Buds Live.
A33 & A53’s Specifications
Both Smartphones are 5G which can help you connect with the world on a real-time basis.
Design & Colors
A new ambient edge smoothly integrates the camera with the phone’s body for a more seamless effect, and the Slimmer bezels deliver a more unified look. Both smartphones are available in Awesome White, Black, Blue, and Peach colors.
Display
Galaxy A33 offers a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate, and it also includes 800 nits of brightness. On the other side, Galaxy A53 offers a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate. Samsung says, “The Galaxy A-series comes with a reduced blue light so you can comfortably use it without straining your eyes. It also has our new Intelligent Algorithm, which helps you see display more clearly outside with less glare so matter how bright Sun is.” Both phones are rated IP67 for dust and water resistance. They also feature Gorilla Glass 5 on the front to protect their displays.
Camera
The Galaxy A33 and A53 come with Quad Camera with Powerful AI, whereas A33 has a 48MP Wide camera, 8MP Ultra Wide Camera, 5MP Macro Camera, and 2MP Bokeh Camera, and A53 has a 64MP Wide camera, 12MP Ultra Wide Camera, 5MP Macro Camera, and 5MP Bokeh Camera. We can expect better portrait shots because of improvements to the processor and the phone’s software, and its night mode also sounds fantastic because it captures 12 frames at once. For Videos, both phones include some fantastic features like Steady Video, Capture in Low Light, Optical Image, Advanced VDId, and Digital Video Stabilization for capturing perfect motion while walking or any other camera bumping activity. These smartphones also include Samsung’s Object Eraser Feature, which can erase unwanted objects with just one click.
Performance & RAM
Both phones use a Samsung processor, the octa-core Exynos 1280, and come with 6GB of RAM. You can also allocate up to 6GB of the 128GB internal storage space as virtual RAM, providing more significant multi-tasking potential. Samsung also made a big deal about the chip being built using a 5nm process, something reserved for its flagship S Series phones only a few years ago, which should mean good performance and efficiency. The A33 5G and A55 5G come in two memory configurations: 6/128 GB and 8/256 GB; both also have microSD slots for up to 1 TB more.
Battery
The Galaxy A33 & A53 features a 5,000 mAh, just like its predecessor. Charging is faster, as the device can support 25W wired charging. You’ll need to supply your charger, though, as the phone ships without one. The Galaxy A53 5G and A33 5G launch with Android 12 and One UI 4.1. Samsung guarantees that they will receive four Android OS updates and five years of security patches. The new Galaxy A series will not include a charger in the retail package, which Samsung paints as an eco-friendly move as it makes the packaging smaller. Speaking of the packaging, it is made out of sustainably sourced paper. The phones themselves use recycled post-consumer materials for the side buttons and SIM card trays. The Galaxy A53 5G will cost $450 and be released on April 1 through Samsung’s online store, and The Galaxy A33 will cost $410 and be released on April 22.
