The Dynamic stories feature provides news updates and other information in the discover feed of the app. This will help users to know what’s going on in the world around them. Currently, the feature is in testing in India and other regions like France, the US, and the UK. It is expected that the company will bring Dynamic stories to more countries later.
Dynamic Stories On Snapchat Shows Real-Time News Updates
Dynamic Stories will be available in multiple languages like English, Hindi, and Marathi. Snapchat is working on adding more local languages. The Dynamic Stories will be seen in the Discover section of the app. To create stories based on the news that is published on the web, it uses a news publisher’s RSS feed. The content will be updated in real-time so that you won’t miss out on any news. Snapchat, in a press release, said, “Snapchat does not offer an unmoderated open newsfeed, where unvetted individuals or publishers can broadcast false and misleading information to a large audience. Discover only features content from verified media publishers and content creators.” To publish the news for India, Snapchat has collaborated with publishers like GQ India, MissMalini, Pinkvilla, Sportskeeda, The Quint, Times Now, and Vogue India. For the US news publishers, Axios, Bloomberg, CNN, Complex Networks, Condé Nast (Self, Vogue), ESPN, Insider, New York Post, Page Six, Self, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, TMZ, Vice, and Vogue. In France, the news publishers are Femme Actuelle, Foot Mercato, Gala, GQ France, Le Figaro, Marie Claire FR, Paris Match, and Vogue France. For the UK, British Vogue, GQ UK, The Independent, and The Mirror. Moreover, the news publishers are already getting a better response to the new feature on Snapchat. The Washington Post got more than a million views on the Ukraine War coverage.
